This is really interesting because I am (was) a bit of a job search addict. I was always on the lookout for what was happening in my industry (healthcare) even when I wasn't actively looking for a change. However I was looking with a checklist of criteria and when I wanted to consider a career change, that strategy didn't work. I found myself frustrated as all I found was opportunities that looked very similar to what I was already doing. I like my employer so why would I move to do the same thing in an unknown organisation? I needed a different approach and thank goodness for Tineke and The Artist's Way! It was a shift in my thinking I needed which has enabled a rebalancing in my 'work'. So a career change that isn't 😆
Thank you, Denise! Often what we're looking for is already there! It just needs to be uncovered, unlocked, nurtured. In other words, the answer is within (first)!
