The Career Guide for Unconventional and Creative People - Carol Eikleberry
What’s in it
Do you think of yourself as unconventional? Artistic? Creative?
And yet here you are. Trying to shoehorn yourself into a job, a career, that feels ... tight. Trying to make yourself FIT, somehow.
This book might be part of your answer.
Because what it does is two things:
1. It gives you some really practical tools to discover who you are, to identify your skills and provide you with some clear career paths and make you think about how YOU can create (compose) your career.
2. And I'm not showing it here (there's only so much you can cram onto a sketchnote), but there is a whole LIST of ideas in this book!
Career ideas. Jobs. Things you can do based on what you find out about yourself.
Did you find out you're the artistic type? But haven't got a clue what to do with that information?
Are you looking for inspiration? Want to look wider than your own little world? Get curious about what some of these roles might mean?
Why I like it
It's a GREAT starter for ten. A base from which to start looking.
Now, disclaimer. I found this book in a charity shop. Second hand. It's from 2015.
A LOT has happened since then.
But my verdict stands:
A book with a focus on creative people. A list of ideas to get you started.
