Hi, I’m Tineke, coach for you change making, creative, multi-passionate, hard-working women. I publish my newsletter here every Friday, focusing on ONE topic to do with your career, career change, happiness, women and work, creativity and books (I love books!).
I’d LOVE it if you decided to sign up for my Career Freedom newsletter so that you can get it delivered straight into your mailbox every Friday!
Every Wednesday, for the last three years, I’ve done the same thing.
Sit down at my computer, clear away some quick tasks, then sit down, open up a fresh new article in this newsletter and write what wants to be written.
Every Wednesday. Pretty much without fail.
Except last week, and this week, and for the foreseeable future.
Last week was - quite frankly - a mess. I apologise. My newsletter was written on Tuesday evening, on Thursday morning (early). And anywhere in between.
This week I’m sitting down on a Sunday.
‘OK, so what?’ (Yes, I can hear you think). ‘What’s the big deal?’
HERE is the big deal.
It’s all change over here
The big change
Some of you may have read my article a while back. ‘Lessons learned from busting a gut’, I called it. Yes, literally.
I made a bit of a joke out of it. Even managed to squeeze some lessons out of it.
But it has been HARD, a message from my body, when all the other messages weren’t reaching my brain.
One of the biggest lessons I took away from this episode has been this: that I needed to reduce stress in my life. Self-induced stress maybe, but stress nonetheless.
The thing is, in my The Artist’s Way Group right now we are talking about synchronicity.
Which is exactly what happened earlier this year, a clear incidence of synchronicity.
Because as soon as I thought the thoughts above I got a call, from a recruiter. Was I interested in the job they were offering?, he asked.
The long and the short of it was this: Yes. Yes, I was. Am.
What changes
And here we are. Now writing my newsletter on a Sunday.
Because what I said ‘Yes’ to means that I’m now combining my coaching business with a new job. A job, that:
Builds on my coaching skills
Supports leaders in bringing a coaching approach to their work
Can be done from home
Can be combined (is actively ENCOURAGED to be combined 😊) with my coaching business
Enabling me to create regular income and do what I love doing both at work AND in my business.
But yes, what it also means is a change to my business. Writing a newsletter on a Sunday. Thinking clearly about what can be achieved in less hours a week. And being VERY clear about what has priority. Which - at this time - is stress reduction, health and happiness.
What stays the same
Luckily a lot of things stay the same too. This newsletter, for one, even if it IS written on another day.
My community Change Artists will remain open (you get automatic access to it if you sign up to a PAID subscription for this newsletter).
We will hold our Ideas Club every last Wednesday of the month, in which you’ll learn ONE new creative thinking technique AND work together with others on creating NEW ideas. a
I’ll continue to document your amazing career journeys with my Visual Coaching session ‘Your Career Story’.
And of course, I will continue to support amazing women like you through career transitions with my Career Freedom coaching programme.
Simply book a call if you are currently finding yourself on a career crossroads and want to get clear on what’s next:
Feeling all the feels
Any change comes with emotions.
This step is needed and the right thing to do for me at this time, in volatile economic times. On current evidence the step feels totally right. But emotions never come in simple packages, right?
Because as well as happiness, hope, a bit of relief, I also feel regret about not being able to spend as much time on and in my business.
On the other hand: clients (you!) will (continue to) have my exclusive and full attention and support.
And also - so I pondered - if anything, I’m showcasing ONE thing: that career changes can (and do) happen. At any age.
Or, as I said to someone: on average people have 7 (SEVEN) careers during their working life. I call this my career 4A. Coaching PLUS. There’s LOTS more to come.
Feeling grateful for everything that I’ve been able to achieve and have had the privilege to experience, with the help of all of you.
So far.
And it’s by no means finished! Because I believe you deserve to be happy at work, to do what you love doing, bring your best self to something that has meaning to you.
But also: a new chapter is opening up. A chapter that will provide personal development and growth for - yes - ‘my’ learners (check me out using the new lingo!), but also for me, and ultimately as a result for you too!
Feeling grateful for that opportunity and for what the future holds: a combination of coaching, mentoring, drawing and painting, with a first focus on be(com)ing healthy and fit. Which happens to be just as I like it.
I’m going to leave you with a poem, which spoke to me this week:
Love and light, everyone! Speak soon?

P.S. I have room to work with ONE amazing new client in April. One woman who wants to explore her next career steps. (Because there’s more out there for you. Take it from someone who knows 😊).
Is this you? Or someone you know?
